My Harveys Papakura - Pink Ribbon Breakfast 2015

Breast Cancer was the winner at Harvey’s Real Estate’s Annual Pink Ribbon Breakfast in the month of May.  Papakura’s business community united in support of a worthy cause whilst enjoying a scrumptious cooked breakfast and an amazing array of pink sweet treats to indulge in.  I was thrilled with the day’s events but more particularly was full of praise for my team and how they all embraced this event, “It is well and truly entrenched in our annual calendar” and this is now our fourth year supporting this event.

We could not have achieved what we did without the help and support from our community and those who sponsored us in helping to raise a substantial amount of money.  The thing that stood out over the day was the generosity of people in Papakura but more importantly the fact that we raised awareness for this hideous disease which was a real success.  Having breakfast on the forecourt of our office which is in such a prominent position made the day.  Not only did random people stop, but the constant tooting of horns from passers by picking up on our pink regalia which was most important.

If we did nothing more than got people to think twice about breast cancer and maybe prompt a few into going and getting a check-up, it was all worthwhile.  There is so much more we can do to fight this demon and it can all start for you by joining us next year, remember to “pink” yourself up for the occasion.
